The iOS Download Player

In this section, the main screens of the iOS Download Player are described.

You can navigate between these screens by selecting the menu item at the bottom of your device's screen.

 

The Playing Screen

The Playing screen shows the tracks in the playlist that is currently playing.

From here you can:

  • select a track to play,
  • skip to the next track in the playlist,
  • add the track to your favourites list,
  • remove the track from your favourites list,
  • disable the track so it never plays again,
  • shuffle your playlist

 

The Timetable Screen

The Timetable screen shows the music day-parts that you have profiled throughout the day, the times that they will play and amount of music in each.

Each day-part will be loaded automatically, in line with your music requirements.

By selecting a day-part the menu will appear. From here you can:

  • override the day-part playing, by selecting the a day-part to play
  • resume the profiled day-part to switch back to your profiled music

On-Demand Playlists & Events

On-demand and Event playlists can be created, at your request, by your music provider and can be selected on-demand to override the timetabled music. Just select a playlist and pick play!

At any time you can resume your profiled music by selecting Resume Timetable from the top left menu.

 

The Favourites Screen

You can make a track your favourite on any of the music screens by clicking the heart icon.

The Favourites screen shows the tracks that you have previously marked as favourites and they can be played at any time, regardless which playlist is currently loaded.

By selecting a track the menu will appear. From here you can:

  • select the track to play now; interrupting the current track playing,
  • select the track to play next; queuing the track to play after the current track,
  • Remove the track from the favourites playlist,
  • disable a track so it never plays again

 

The Downloads Screen

The Downloads screen shows the status of your current music update's download progress, including:

  • Status - If the player is currently downloading or has completed its downloads,
  • Files/Time Remaining - the amount of files and estimated time remaining to download the update,
  • Storage - the amount storage available and currently being utilised on the device,
  • Last Updated - the date that you recieved your last music update.

 

The History Screen

The History screen shows a list of the tracks that have been played for your reference.

By selecting a track the menu will appear. From here you can:

  • select the track to play now; interrupting the current track playing,
  • select the track to play next; queuing the track to play after the current track,
  • mark the track as a favourite,
  • remove a favourite track marking,
  • disable a track so it never plays again.
